E-mail discussion list
As one of our services to the Business English teaching community we offer an e-mail discussion list. Once you have subscribed to the list (which is free of charge) you can take part in e-mail discussions with other members regarding any aspect of Business English teaching. To subscribe to or unsubscribe yourself from the discussion list please follow the instructions below. (You do not need to be a member of BESIG to join the e-mail discussion list, but if you find the list useful you may want to consider joining BESIG.)
Once you have subscribed to the discussion list you can send an e-mail to all other subscribers by sending it to besig@yahoogroups.com . Your e-mail will then be distributed to all other subscribers.
For more information about subscription options (for example, you can choose between receiving individual e-mails as they are sent, or as a daily compilation) please visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/besig .
For our policy on using the e-mail discussion list for disseminating information
about commercial products or services please see below.

Using the list for commercial purposes
After various discussions over the past few years we have decided not to allow e-mails advertising commercial courses and other services to be posted to the list. Some people think this is a shame because the services may be of genuine interest to listmembers, but the majority did not want to receive such e-mails.
However, if you provide products or services of interest to the BE community, there are a number of ways in which you can make BESIG members aware of them:
- If you are offering a course, enter details of your course on the Events
Calendar. You will need to sign up for a Yagoogroups ID if you don't
have one already but that is free, as is entering your course into the
Calendar. The Calendar is available to everyone and BESIG members do check
it, so this a good, free way of publicising your
course. - Take out a banner ad on the BESIG website - details of prices etc are available here
- Take out an advert in the BESIG newsletter - details of prices etc are available here
Alternatively, get involved in (or start!) a pertinent discussion on the e-mail discussion list, and then subtly drop in just enough information about your offering that people can find out about it off-list if they're interested, without annoying the others :-)
