BESIG publishes a newsletter every 4 months. The newsletter is by and for our members and contains articles of interest to Business English teachers - teaching tips, book reviews, event reports and more. Please follow the links on the right for some sample articles.

Contributing to the newsletter - Business Issues

Business Issues, the publication of BESIG – the Business English Special Interest Group of IATEFL (the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language) – is published three times a year - in spring, summer and autumn.

Copy dates for articles and advertisements are as follows:

Newsletter issue
Submission deadline

Spring 10 December end February - mid March
Summer 10 March end May - mid June
Autumn 10 June end August - mid September

 

Articles should be between 400 and 800 words. Although every effort will be made to include articles accepted for publication in the next issue, BESIG reserves the right to postpone publication if necessary. BESIG also reserves the right to refuse any article.

Submissions should be emailed to the Newsletter Editor: julia.waldner@besig.org

Please include your name, address and, if possible, a photo of yourself and some biographical details – maximum 30 words – so we can tell our readers who you are. They are interested!

Photographs and graphics should be saved separately as .jpg files (not embedded in Word documents).

Advertising is also very welcome (see Publicity Opportunities page) Please contact the Newsletter Editor if you are interested.

Copyright requirements: teachers and institutions wanting to copy any part of Business Issues, and other publications wanting to reprint, should contact the Newsletter Editor for permission and notification of credit lines, etc.
